Black Eagle hat gerade ihre neuste Entwicklung veröffentlicht - Den "Revelation 3.20". Ein Pfeil der laut Black Eagle sehr ruhiges Flugverhalten mit Windschnittigkeit und sehr hoher Genauigkeit kombiniert. Bei Arc&Us haben wir die neue "Offenbarung" im Voraus erhalten und mit Henning gründlich getestet. Hier ist seine Zusammenfassung:
"Ich hatte das Vorrecht bereits die neuen Black Eagle Revelation Pfeile schießen und ausführlich auf Herz und Nieren testen zu können. Der neue Targetschaft ist eine klare Kampfansage an Easton und Carbon Express im High-Class Sektor. Der Revelation kommt in Spines von
300 bis 800 in 50er Abstufungen und bietet damit eine Abstufung für jeden Schützen in diesem Bereich. Was mir als Erstes auffällt: Die zylindrischen Schäfte können ohne Probleme sehr kurz geschnitten werden, da der Spine überall gleich ist - Das steht im Gegensatz zu X10 und Nano Pro RZ. Der Durchmesser ist vergleichbar zu dem der Nano Pros, denn auch die Black Eagle Schäfte haben eine sehr dicke, stabile Wand. Das macht den Revelation strohscheibentauglich.
Der absolute Hammer ist der Preis: Ein Dutzend Schäfte liegt bei ca. 350 Euro UVP und ist damit wesentlich günstiger als seine Mitbewerber. Bei meinem Testsatz handelt es sich um die 300er Schäfte mit der optionalen Tungsten Spitze. Es gibt aber auch eine ganz neue patentierte Tool-Steel Spitze mit einem Grundgewicht von 60 Grains bei der man die Außenhülle tauschen kann. So ist das Gewicht zwischen 80 und 140 Grains jederzeit variierbar. Das macht das Tuning viel einfacher und risikofrei. Am Ende des Pfeils wartet dann eine nächste Innovation von Black Eagle. Für den Revelation gibt es nun eine Kombination aus Pin und Collar in einem Stück - Was ist der Grund? Ganz einfach gesagt liegt er bei der Herstellungsweise von Carbonpfeilen. Diese werden über einen Dorn gerollt und verklebt. Das heißt aber auch, dass der Pin nicht 100%ig in der Mitte sein kann. Nun haben sich die Designer von Black Eagle überlegt, dieses Problem elegant zu lösen und den Pin über den Außendurchmesser zu zentrieren, denn hier ist der Schaft auf Rundlauf geschliffen. So steckt der Collar perfekt zentral auf dem Pfeil. Das Gewicht dieses Collar-Pins ist nahezu gleich mit anderen bekannten Varianten. Einzig die Tatsache, dass der Preis für diese Komponente sehr hoch ist und der Tausch bei einem Treffer schnell teuer werden kann, muss bei Verwendung in Kauf genommen werden.
Ich habe meinen Satz gemessen und gewogen wobei die gleich hohe, sehr konsistente Qualität, die wir von anderen Black Eagle Produkten wie dem X-Impact kennen, festzustellen war. Die Schäfte hatten alle einen Spine zwischen 297 und 312. Beim Gewicht waren alle innerhalb von einem Grain und damit auf X10 Niveau.Für welche Schützen ist der Pfeil gedacht? Der Pfeil ist ganz in der WA 50 Meter und Feldbogen Disziplinen angesiedelt. Er ist schlank und schwer, damit verzeihlich bei Wind und schlechten Schüssen. Zum Zeitpunkt dieses Beitrags hatte ich die Schäfte schon einige Zeit im Test und habe es bislang noch nicht geschafft einen Pfeil kaputt zu schießen. Die dicke Wand und der Collar haben ihre Arbeit bisher hervorragend verrichtet."

Black Eagle has just released its latest development - the "Revelation 3.20". An arrow which, according to Black Eagle, combines very smooth flight characteristics with wind cutting and very high accuracy. At Arc&Us we received the new "revelation" in advance and thoroughly tested it with Henning. Here is his summary:
"I had the privilege to already shoot the new Black Eagle Revelation arrows and put them through their paces. The new target is a clear challenge to Easton and Carbon Express in the high-class sector. The Revelation comes in spines from 300 to 800 in 50 steps and therefor offers a gradation for every shooter in this range. What I noticed first: The cylindrical shafts can be cut very short without any problems, because the spine is the same throughout - in contrast to X10 and Nano Pro RZ. The diameter is comparable to that of the Nano Pros, because the Black Eagle shafts also have a very thick, stable wall. This makes the Revelation suitable for straw targets.
But the absolute knockout is the price: a dozen shafts are around 350 Euro UVP and are therefore much cheaper than their competitors.
My test set consists of the 300 shafts with the optional Tungsten tip. There is however also a completely new patented Tool Steel point with a basic weight of 60 Grains with which one can exchange the outer sleeve. The weight can be varied between 80 and 140 grains at any time. This makes tuning much easier and risk-free. At the end of the arrow there is another innovation from Black Eagle. For the Revelation there is now a combination of pin and collar in one piece - what is the reason? Simply put, it's the way carbon arrows are made. These are rolled over a mandrel to be glued. This also means that the pin cannot be 100% in the middle. Now the designers of Black Eagle have considered to solve this problem elegantly and to center the pin over the outer diameter, because here the shaft is ground to concentricity. So the Collar is perfectly centered on the arrow. The weight of this Collar pin is almost the same as with other known variants. Only the fact that the price for this component is very high and the exchange can become expensive with a strike quickly, must be taken into account with use.
I measured and weighed my set and found the same high, very consistent quality that we know from other Black Eagle products like the X-Impact. The shafts all had a spine between 297 and 312. The weight was all within one grain and therefore on X10 level.
For which shooters is the arrow intended? The arrow is located entirely in the WA 50 meters and field bow disciplines. It is slim and heavy, therefore forgivable in wind on bad shots. At the time of this article I had already tested the shafts for some time and haven't managed to break an arrow yet. The thick wall and the collar have done an excellent job so far."
