Beim "Maker of the worlds best bows" - Hoyt, ist es soweit. Das neue Target Compound Flaggschiff "Invicta" wird veröffentlicht. Wir von Arc&Us haben das neue neue Topmodell exklusiv schon vor der Veröffentlichung zum Testen bekommen und möchten euch gerne die ersten Eindrücke von Henning weitergeben, der ihn für uns getestet hat:
"Ich habe hier den neuen Hoyt "Invicta" mit den SVX Cams. Die Eckdaten und Maße des Testbogens konnte ich selbst aussuchen, um mir ein möglichst aussagekräftiges Urteil bilden zu können. Entschieden habe ich mich für: 40,25" Achslänge und 7,25" Standhöhe. Das sind die gemessenen Werte der roten Schönheit. Die Verarbeitung ist wie immer sehr gut und der Bogen hat die versprochenen 60#. Beim ersten Blick fällt mir sofort auf, dass der "Invicta" einen Sehnenstopper serienmäßig verbaut hat - was für einen Hoyt Scheibenbogen sehr ungewöhnlich ist. Des Weiteren fällt auf, das neue Mittelteil ist größer und die Wurfarme sind wesentlich paralleler ist als beim Vorgänger "Prevail". Ich denke mir daher sofort: der Bogen müsste sich, trotz der gleichgebliebenen Cams, ruhiger schießen lassen. Das Wurfarmdesign ist komplett überarbeitet und es wirkt nahezu zurückhaltend. Der Griff ist an der gleichen Stelle wie beim Vorgänger; nicht nach oben oder unten gewandert.
Zuerst montiere ich ein Loop und eine Pfeilauflage um den Bogen blank zu schießen. So spüre ich wie er sich im Gegensatz zu anderen Bögen verhält. Die Zugkurve ist immer noch gleich und die Wand sehr stabil beim verwendeten SVX Cam - so wie wir es kennen. Beim Abschuss kommt aber die Überraschung: Wow. Der "Invicta" ist sehr, sehr ruhig! Ich habe auch schon einen "Prevail" mit Sehnenstopper geschossen, aber das Verhalten des "Invicta" im Vergleich unterscheidet Lichtjahre! Der nächste Test ist ein Schuss ohne den Stopper. Ich bin wieder sehr überrascht. Der Bogen fühlt sich immer noch nahezu identisch ruhig an. Kein ruppiges Abschussgefühl mehr - nichts was unangenehm auffällt.
Nach so vielen Jahren hat man bei Hoyt die Geometrie verändert, was dem Bogen das - für mich persönlich- immer etwas zu starke Feedback und die Vibrationen wegnimmt. Ich bin schwer zu begeistern, aber das beeindruckt mich echt. Damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Schießt man die Topmodelle anderer Hersteller sind die Unterschiede zwischen dem jeweiligen Bögen mit und ohne Sehnenstopp sehr unterschiedlich - das scheint hier nicht der Fall zu sein. Als Zwischenstand kann ich sagen, dass der neue Hoyt mit Abstand der ruhigste Scheibenbogen ist, den sie jemals gebaut haben. Ich denke, das wird vielen Leuten auch den Schrecken vor dem etwas dynamischeren SVX Cam nehmen, was immer als sehr ruppig und agressiv galt - anscheinend lag das aber stark am Winkel der Wurfarme. Wenn man nun den Vergleich zu anderen Marken ziehen will, dann würde ich sagen, dass der neue Hoyt eine fantastische Mischung aus Shootability und Feedback ist. Er schießt sich nicht ganz so sanft wie ein Prime CT9, aber viel ruhiger als ein PSE Perform X. Ich würde ihn wahrscheinlich neben dem Mathews TRX 8 einordnen. Jetzt noch etwas für die Tuningfreunde unter uns. Das Mittelteil hat auch bei meinem 31" Auszug so gut wie keinen Torque. Ich brauchte den Kabelabweiser nur 1 Klick hineinnehmen und das Verhalten war perfekt. Der Monostabi schaut im Ruhezustand und Vollauszug exakt in die gleiche Richtung. Das konnten aber auch schon "Prevail" und Podium exzellent. Ansonsten verhält sich der Hoyt beim Tuning wie seine Vorgänger. Wer also darüber nachdenkt, sich das neue Modell zu gönnen, wird seine Pfeile ohne Probleme weiter schießen können.
Mein Fazit: Lohnt sich der Kauf des neuen "Invicta"? Ein ganz klares ja! Nach meinem Gefühl zielt der neue Hoyt aufgrund der neuen Geometrie und des größeren Mittelteils ein gutes Stück besser als sein Vorgänger. Das liegt maßgeblich daran, dass das Verhältnis von Mittelteil zu Wurfarmen verändert wurde, wodurch sich der ganze Bogen stabiler anfühlt. Im Gegensatz zum "Prevail" gefällt mir persönlich der "Invicta" um ein vielfaches besser. Er ist vom Design im Jahr 2020 angekommen ist und ich schieße auf Anhieb wirklich gute Gruppen damit. Ehrlich gesagt, würde ich ihn am liebsten gar nicht mehr abgeben, sondern ihn ab sofort selbst benutzen. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen für mich ist, dass es zwar ein neues mattes Blau und Rot (diese sind sehr schön!) gibt, aber ich hätte mir vielleicht noch ein schönes Weiß oder Lila gewünscht. Wer weiß - vielleicht im nächsten Jahr! Alles in allem: Wer seinen Hoyt "Prevail" bisher geliebt hat, sollte sich den "Invicta" unbedingt anschauen! Der Hoyt Target Compound 2020 lohnt sich."

For the "Maker of the worlds best bows" - Hoyt, it is time. The new Target Compound flagship "Invicta" is released. We from Arc&Us got the new top model exclusively for testing before the release and would like to give you the first impressions of Henning, who tested it for us:
"I have here the new Hoyt "Invicta" with the SVX Cams. The key data and dimensions of the test bow I could select myself, in order to be able to get a meaningful judgement. I have decided for: 40.25" axle length and 7.25" stand height. These are the measured values of the red beauty. The workmanship is as always very good and the bow has the promised 60#. At first glance, I immediately notice that the "Invicta" has a string-stopper fitted as standard - which is very unusual for a Hoyt target bow. Furthermore, the new middle section is bigger and the limbs are much more parallel than the predecessor "Prevail". So I immediately think: the bow should be calmer to shoot, even if the cams remain the same. The limb design has been completely reworked and it looks very decent. The grip is in the same place as the predecessor; not up or down. First I mount a loop and an arrow rest to shoot the bow blank. So I feel how it behaves in contrast to other bows. The traction curve is still the same and the wall is very stable with the SVX Cam - as we know it. But when I trigger the release the surprise comes: Wow. The "Invicta" is very, very quiet! I have also shot a "Prevail" with a string-stopper, but the behaviour of the "Invicta" in comparison distinguishes light years! The next test is a shot without the stopper. I am again very surprised. The bow still feels almost identically calm. No more rough firing feeling - nothing that is unpleasant to notice.
After so many years Hoyt has changed the geometry, which always takes away the - for me personally - a little too strong feedback and the vibrations from the bow. I am hard to inspire, but it really impresses me. I wasn't expecting that. If you shoot the top models of other manufacturers, the differences between the respective bows with and without a strin-stopper are very significant - that doesn't seem to be the case here. As an intermediate result, I can say that the new Hoyt is by far the quietest target bow they have ever built. I think this will take away the fear of the more dynamic SVX Cam from many people, which was always considered to be very rough and aggressive - but apparently it was due to the angle of the limbs. If you want to compare it to other brands, I would say that the new Hoyt is a fantastic mix of shootability and feedback. It doesn't shoot smooth as a Prime CT9, but much smoother than a PSE Perform X. I would probably place it next to the Mathews TRX 8. Now something for the tuning friends among us. The middle section has almost no torque even with my 31" draw length. I needed to take the cable deflector only 1 click in and it was behaving perfect. The mono-stabi points exactly in the same direction when at rest or at full draw. But "Prevail" and Podium were also able to do that excellently. Otherwise the Hoyt behaves tuningwise like any other Hoyt so far. So if you think about indulging yourself with the new model, you will be able to continue shooting your arrows without any problems.
My conclusion: Is it worth buying the new "Invicta"? A very clear yes! In my opinion, the new Hoyt aims a good deal better than its predecessor due to the new geometry and the larger centre section. This is mainly due to the fact that the ratio of the middle section to the limbs has been changed, which makes the whole bow feel more stable. In contrast to the "Prevail", I personally like the "Invicta" much better. It really looks like a 2020 design and I shoot really good groups with it right away. To be honest, I would prefer to keep the bow right away and use it from now on. A little drop of bitterness for me is that there is a new matt blue and red (these are very nice!), but I might have wished for a nice white or purple. Who knows - maybe next year! All in all: Those who have loved their Hoyt "Prevail" so far should definitely have a look at the "Invicta"! The Hoyt Target Compound 2020 is worth it."
